A resident of the Mykolaiv region fatally stabbed his neighbor due to a dispute: he has been notified of the suspicion.

A suspect in the murder of an elderly woman has been detained in the Mykolaiv region – he has been informed of the charges against him.

This information was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Police.

It is noted that on the evening of January 9, a report was received at the Second Police Station of the Pervomaisk District from a resident of Vradievka, who found her mother dead in her home located in the Pervomaisk district.

An investigative operational group from the local police department, along with operatives and forensic specialists from the regional police of Mykolaiv, quickly arrived at the scene.

According to the preliminary conclusion of a forensic expert, the 78-year-old woman's death was caused by multiple stab wounds several weeks prior.

After conducting a series of operational-search measures and investigative actions, the police, with the assistance of criminal analysis specialists, determined that the crime was committed by the victim’s neighbor.

Following a dispute, the perpetrator inflicted numerous knife wounds on the woman and fled the scene.

For the committed crime, he faces up to 15 years in prison.
