There is no bill in the Rada to lower the conscription age; lawmakers have labeled it as fake news.

There is no draft law on reducing the mobilization age in the Rada: deputies labeled it a fake

As of today, no draft law aimed at lowering the mobilization age has been submitted or registered in the Verkhovna Rada. All such reports in the media are merely rumors and fakes. This was stated by the VR committee on national security, intelligence, and defense on Facebook.

"There have been no draft laws to lower the mobilization age from 25 to 18 years in the Verkhovna Rada or in our specialized Committee on national security, defense, and intelligence specifically — there are none. The information circulating in the media today is false," – the statement reads.

The committee urged media representatives to be more attentive to primary sources. This pertains to portals that published claims this morning that a draft law to reduce the mobilization age had supposedly already been submitted to the Rada.

Deputies Oleksiy Honcharenko and Maksym Buzhansky also referred to similar media reports as fake on Telegram.
