Last night, on January 13, residents of Mykolaiv were able to witness a rare and mesmerizing sight: the "Wolf Moon" combined with the bright glow of Mars.

The full moon received its name from ancient legends, when winter nights were accompanied by the howling of wolves, and the Moon illuminated their hunts.

The uniqueness of this night lies in the proximity of the Red Planet. Mars can be seen slightly to the left of the Moon, radiating an intense red glow. The brightness of Mars reaches -1.3, making it one of the most prominent points in the night sky.
