Utility rates have significantly increased in Ukraine

Utility services in Ukraine have seen a notable rise in costs. Over the course of a year – from December 2023 to December 2024 – the overall rates have surged by 18.9%. However, not all services have experienced this hike. For instance, electricity prices have jumped by 63.6%, while the rates for several other services have remained unchanged.

This information was reported by State Statistics Service. They highlighted that in addition to electricity, the following services have also increased in price:

• management services for apartment buildings – up by 11.2%;
• waste collection – up by 8.9%;
• maintenance and repair of housing – up by 3.9%.

At the same time, the rates for several services have stayed the same. These include:

• water supply;
• sewerage;
• natural gas;
• hot water and heating.
