In Ukraine, the booking of 100% of medical personnel from state and municipal hospitals has been authorized.

All medical workers from healthcare institutions of state and municipal ownership, public health facilities, institutions conducting forensic and psychiatric examinations, and blood centers, for whom work in these establishments is their main job, can now be booked.

As reported by the Ministry of Health, the Cabinet of Ministers has made corresponding changes to the procedure for booking military personnel during mobilization and wartime.

It is noted that these changes pertain only to medical workers; restrictions on booking remain in place for other specialists working in medical institutions. "Hospitals would have been forced to continually seek additional permissions to book more than 50% of military personnel. The decision to book 100% of medical workers eliminates the need for separate permissions, reducing the burden on both hospitals and the Ministry of Defense. Thus, hospitals no longer spend time and effort obtaining special permits, and the ministry is relieved from reviewing numerous individual requests," the statement said.

The Ministry of Health emphasized that currently about 75% of injured servicemen are treated in civilian medical institutions. Therefore, this decision will ensure the provision of medical assistance to both military and civilian individuals as needed.

At the same time, the ministry stated that the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the defense sector for medical personnel, who can be mobilized from civilian medical institutions, will be addressed through the mechanism of unbooking specific medical workers currently in demand.

"Unbooking" will occur upon request from the Ministry of Defense and the Medical Forces Command regarding the needs for various medical specialists. The proposal for unbooking will be carried out by the heads of medical institutions via the Diya Portal, in accordance with the procedure for booking military personnel during mobilization and wartime. After unbooking, specialists will be mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other military formations based on their needs, assigned to medical positions of military service," the agency explained.
