Over the course of three years, a training-research-production pig complex is planned to be built at the Mykolaiv National Agrarian University.
Details about this have been posted on the "Dream Projects" website of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine.
The initiative for the project came from the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration. The project encompasses a pig complex, a biogas cogeneration plant for producing biogas and electricity, a pellet production line from waste, the installation of solar power stations, a greenhouse complex, and a mini meat processing plant.
Thus, the university aims to establish a foundation for creating an innovative-investment platform for transferring modern technologies into production and to form a permanent innovative structure based on the integration of education, science, and production—a training-research-production consortium.
«Establishing such a training-research-production complex will enable the creation of a new type of higher educational institution based on the formation of a vertically integrated education system within the context of sustainable development, which includes four areas of activity: educational, scientific, entrepreneurial, and innovative», — explain the initiators.
The project's budget amounts to 306.8 million hryvnias, which will be financed by the French government. The construction is planned to be completed within three years.
