In Mykolaiv, a dispute between two drivers ended in a stabbing

On Thursday, October 31, in the city of Mykolaiv, a conflict on the roadway escalated when a 19-year-old man, after violating traffic regulations, stabbed another driver twice.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv regional prosecutor's office.

According to the investigation, the 19-year-old suspect, while driving a vehicle, broke traffic rules, which led to a confrontation with another driver. During the altercation, the suspect inflicted two stab wounds on his opponent and then fled the scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries, where he underwent surgery.

The next day, November 1, the perpetrator was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Under the procedural guidance of the Mykolaiv City District Prosecutor's Office, the detained individual was informed of the suspicion of causing intentional grievous bodily harm (Part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

At the request of the prosecution, the investigating judge of the Leninsky District Court of Mykolaiv ordered a measure of restraint in the form of detention.

The penalty under this article provides for imprisonment for a term of five to eight years.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the OP No. 2 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Mykolaiv region.
