In Mykolaiv, 46,000 subscribers are left without heating after nighttime explosions
In Mykolaiv, following a nighttime enemy attack on critical infrastructure, 46,000 subscribers are without heating.
This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.
“Enemy drones damaged the city's thermal power station. This was done deliberately to leave people without heat in sub-zero temperatures and to create a humanitarian disaster. Currently, 46,000 subscribers remain without heating,” the Prime Minister stated.
He noted that all relevant services are working to mitigate the consequences of the attack and are doing everything possible to restore heating to homes, schools, and hospitals as quickly as possible.
“The city has already established 67 points of invincibility, and the connection of three modular boilers in healthcare institutions has begun. We are coordinating efforts between central and local authorities to assist the people. I have instructed to hold a meeting of the State Commission on Technogenic and Ecological Safety and Emergencies regarding this issue. Following its results, a number of additional measures will be taken to ensure the residents of the city have heating,” Shmyhal reported.
