A house burned in Mykolaiv: firefighters rescued a woman

On January 10 and during the night of January 11, four fires were recorded in the Mykolaiv region, two of which occurred in residential areas.

One particular incident that deserves attention occurred early this morning in Mykolaiv. Residents of a two-story residential building known as "zhilkop" reported that a fire had broken out in one of the apartments, resulting in dense smoke.

In response, a unit from the 3rd State Fire and Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that the owner of the apartment was trapped in the fire zone. The woman, born in 1953, had opened a window to avoid inhaling smoke and was awaiting assistance. Firefighters from the smoke and gas protection service entered the building and, using additional rescue equipment, brought the owner to safety. Medical personnel examined her, provided first aid, and determined that she did not require hospitalization.

The fire was extinguished over an area of 5 square meters. The preliminary cause of the fire was identified as a short circuit in the electrical network.

Additionally, yesterday there were reports of a fire in a utility structure on private property in the village of Konstantynivka within the South Ukrainian community of the Voznesensk district, as well as instances of dry grass and debris burning in an open area in the Bolshaya Korenikha neighborhood of Mykolaiv, and a vehicle fire along the roadside near the village of Velykooleksandrivka in the Kazankiv community of the Bashtanka district.

The units of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv region ensured prompt response to all reports. A total of about 20 firefighters and 5 special vehicles were involved.
