Construction of main water pipelines in Mykolaiv region: Government approves
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a resolution for the construction of main water pipelines in the Mykolaiv region.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, during a government meeting.
"At the direction of the President of Ukraine, the government is allocating 8 billion UAH this year for the construction of main water pipelines in the Mykolaiv region. Today, we are approving the procedure for using these funds," Shmyhal explained.
He emphasized the significance of this decision, recalling that after the destruction of the Dnipro-Mykolaiv pipeline and the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP, the city lost access to drinking water.
According to him, the project includes the construction of three sections of water intake from the Southern Bug River. The government is taking measures to expedite the work and reduce the risks of delays.
"The task for the responsible agencies is to complete the work as quickly as possible so that Mykolaiv can once again have stable water supply," he noted.
