Russia is launching drone attacks on Kyiv, with air defense forces actively engaged in the Obolon district.

Russia attacks Kyiv with drones: air defense forces are active in Obolon

Early in the morning on November 5, air defense forces are engaged in Kyiv due to an enemy drone attack. An air raid alert was declared in the capital at six o'clock.

As stated by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, combat operations to repel the aerial attack are taking place in the Obolon district of the city. "Air defense forces are active in Obolon," the mayor's statement, published on Telegram at 06:32, reads.

Residents of the capital have been urged not to remain in shelters until the alert is lifted.

Previously, monitoring channels reported a threat to the right bank of the capital.

"Kyiv - 1 UAV coming from the North towards the city. Right bank. Be cautious," wrote the monitor.

"1 UAV from the North is approaching Kyiv. It will pass Vyshgorod towards the Right bank. Be vigilant in the next 10 minutes," they added on the channel at 06:54.

It is noteworthy that combat operations to repel the enemy drone attacks in the Kyiv region began earlier that night.

Additionally, the Air Forces reported on the movement of "Shaheds," particularly along the reservoir heading towards Vyshgorod/Kyiv.
