The military medical commission's (VVK) validity for "conditionally fit" individuals is set to be extended until summer.

In Ukraine, there are plans to extend the duration for "conditionally fit" individuals to complete the VVK until summer, specifically by early June.

This was stated by Alexander Zavitenovich, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, in a comment to RBK-Ukraine.

Currently, this initiative is in the draft stage, undergoing registration procedures. Once registered, details will be available for review. According to RBK-Ukraine, the document mentions the date of June 5.

Vereshchuk also reported on the preparation of the draft law. According to her, the draft addresses two key issues.

"Firstly, the deadline for mandatory VVK completion is proposed to be extended by four months, moving the deadline to early June 2025. Secondly, the obligation to undergo VVK does not apply to conditionally fit individuals under 25 years old," she noted.

Last year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky canceled the "conditionally fit" status in Ukraine through his decree. Consequently, military conscripts with this status were required to undergo the military medical commission. This category was given 9 months after the law came into effect to comply—until February 4, 2025.
