Citizens are advised to be prepared to take cover immediately in the event of an air raid siren.

"For safety reasons, the Embassy will be closed, and staff members are receiving instructions for sheltering in place. The US Embassy advises American citizens to be ready to seek shelter immediately in case of an air raid alert," the statement reads.
