National Guard troops in Mykolaiv apprehended suspects in a robbery
On December 22, at one of the checkpoints on the outskirts of Mykolaiv, soldiers from the 19th Mykolaiv Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine stopped a vehicle based on a tip-off regarding a robbery.
This was reported by the 19th Mykolaiv Regiment of Public Order Protection of the National Guard.
During the inspection of the individuals in the vehicle, their involvement in the robbery of a resident of the village of Bratske was established.
The National Guard personnel detained the suspects and handed them over to the police for investigative and search activities. The actions of the men exhibit signs of crimes as outlined in Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, "Robbery with the intent to seize someone else's property, associated with violence dangerous to the life or health of the victim, or with a threat of such violence (robbery)."
"The National Guard is always ready to ensure public order and assist citizens wherever needed," the statement said.
