The phenomenon of Mykolaiv region: housing prices have increased in the frontline area

The situation regarding real estate prices in the Mykolaiv region has become quite unexpected: in this frontline area, where even KABs reach, housing prices have risen.

This was reported by Elena Haidamaka, the president of the Association of Real Estate Specialists (realtors) of Ukraine, to “Glavkom.”

She explained that many locals, receiving compensation from the government for their destroyed homes, are not relocating to other regions but are instead purchasing houses or apartments right here.

If we analyze other frontline regions (Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Kherson), we see that prices are low there. For instance, Kherson lacks a real estate market; it has come to a standstill. One reason for this is the daily intense enemy shelling of civilian infrastructure.

In Kharkiv, housing prices have dropped by 75% compared to the pre-war period. There are instances where a one-room apartment can be purchased for less than $10,000. The real estate market in Zaporizhia has somewhat survived, but prices there are very low.
