On December 10, the Russian army struck a private clinic in Zaporizhzhia, resulting in the deaths of three individuals and injuring another sixteen, including two doctors. At least eight people may be trapped under the rubble.
This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, along with Air Forces and the Office of the Prosecutor General.
"The Russians attacked Zaporizhzhia. Preliminary reports indicate that two people are injured," Fedorov wrote.
Earlier, air defense forces had warned of the threat of ballistic weapon use from the southeast, in areas where air raid alerts were declared.
Subsequently, Fedorov announced that four injured individuals were already known.
The occupiers also destroyed a private clinic and damaged nearby buildings. Medical personnel, police officers, and emergency services are currently working at the impact site.
At 16:05, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that three people had died and five were injured.
"Rescuers are searching for people under the rubble of the clinic destroyed by the Russian missile. All services are operating at the impact site," Fedorov added.
Minutes later, the head of the administration stated that the number of injured due to the attack had risen to 11, with one in serious condition. Among the victims were two doctors.
At 16:39, Fedorov reported that 14 individuals were known to be injured.
Later, he stated that the number of those injured as a result of the Russian missile attack had increased to 16.
Additionally, the Office of the Prosecutor General noted that the private clinic and a nearby café were severely damaged. The shockwave and debris also affected multi-story residential buildings and local residents' vehicles.
Law enforcement agencies have initiated a pre-trial investigation into the criminal proceedings regarding the war crime that caused loss of life.
According to Fedorov, at least eight people are trapped under the debris of the building that was destroyed in the enemy strike.
"Emergency services continue the search and rescue operation. Alongside them, three medical teams are present," noted the head of the administration.
