Post-war recovery and EU membership: The Cabinet has approved an action plan for 2025, outlining key priorities for the country's future development.

The priority action plan includes nearly 400 steps. These encompass tasks essential for Ukraine's recovery during and after the state of martial law, efforts to move closer to EU membership, and reforms in collaboration with the IMF.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a priority action plan for 2025. It includes nearly 400 steps for all ministries and agencies, including cooperation with the International Monetary Fund and fulfilling obligations to partners under the European Union's Ukraine Facility support program, reported Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. The plan also outlines tasks to address the consequences of military actions in the country and to move closer to EU membership, noted Ukrainian MP from the "European Solidarity" faction Oleksiy Honcharenko.

The MP explained that the approved document defines steps for:

  • restoring the economy, infrastructure, and supporting Ukrainians affected by the war;
  • fulfilling international obligations, taking into account Ukraine's Progress Report under EU enlargement, and the outcomes of negotiations regarding Ukraine's accession to the European Union;
  • reforms within the framework of cooperation with the IMF;
  • implementing the Ukraine Facility plan;
  • enacting laws for economic development;
  • moving closer to membership in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD);
  • measures for sustainable development: economic growth and social welfare.

The Government's plan for 2025 was also reported by the permanent representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, MP from the "Servant of the People" faction Taras Melnychuk. He highlighted that the plan specifies paths for:

  • addressing socially significant issues resulting from the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine;
  • fulfilling tasks necessary for Ukraine's recovery during martial law and in the post-war period;
  • implementing international legal tasks in the field of European integration;
  • a plan for legislative work in the Verkhovna Rada;
  • moving closer to membership in the OECD, etc.

We remind you that on February 17, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted changes to the legislation, according to which men aged 25 to 60 will automatically be registered as military obligated.

On February 14, the Cabinet representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, reported that, by the government's decision, persons with disabilities will no longer be sent for military medical commissions.
