In Kyiv, a Range Rover belonging to Ukrainian journalist and former deputy editor of the publication "Strana.ua," Svitlana Kryukova, was set on fire. This was reported by sources within law enforcement and Kryukova herself to the publication "Ukrainian Truth."
The incident occurred on the evening of February 13. According to Kryukova, no one congratulated her on Valentine's Day. She reminded that she is under sanctions imposed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which prohibit her from using and managing movable property.
"Therefore, I took a driver. Most often, the driver used this vehicle to drop off children at sports sections, and in the evenings, he would take the car back to his neighborhood and park it near his home. That’s where the incident happened," she explained.
Law enforcement officials reported that closer to midnight, a Range Rover caught fire in one of the courtyards in the Desnyanskyi district, which is effectively used by Kryukova. The flames damaged an apartment on the second floor of the building and the facade, but there were no casualties. The fire was extinguished in time, but the vehicle is beyond repair.
The police are investigating what caused the fire—whether it was an explosion or arson. All necessary examinations and search operations are underway.
Kryukova claims that her circle of adversaries is "broad and clear." In recent months, she has been in a legal battle with Ukrainian blogger Ihor Lachenko, activist Denys Koshelnyk, and their associates.
"It’s obvious that I also have adversaries in the President's Office. Today, I learned a new name for myself—[presidential communications advisor] Dmytro Litvyn," she concluded.
Let us recall that Russian forces struck with at least ten Shahed drones on Zaporizhzhia during the night of February 16 to 17. Fires broke out in the city at the impact sites.
