Two men in uniform entered a Mediterranean cuisine restaurant in Kyiv, likely hoping to have at least a cup of coffee. The waiter refused to serve them and did not allow them inside. The restaurant staff cited the administration as the reason for this. Footage of the incident involving the military personnel surfaced on the Telegram channel "Real Kyiv."
The video of the altercation in the restaurant was posted online around 6 PM on January 13. The recording was made by a person who was denied entry to the establishment. It is heard that the waiter is asked "on camera" to confirm that, as a worker of the restaurant Noice, he is indeed refusing to "make coffee for a serviceman." In response, the young man confirms the refusal. He also mentions that there is an order from management to act this way.
"Unfortunately, with all due respect, I cannot serve a serviceman. I have been prohibited from serving. I can’t say who. It’s management," the waiter, dressed in attire with the Noice restaurant patch, can be heard saying.
The recording of the argument lasts 27 seconds, and it remains unclear how the situation concludes.
In the 27-second video, a patch on the sleeve of one of the participants in the incident appears briefly in the frame. A quick search on Google reveals that at least one of the individuals in uniform wanting to have coffee is likely a member of the security police. The identity of the second individual is unclear. It is important to note that this information needs clarification.
On the social media pages of the Noice restaurant, which specializes in Mediterranean cuisine, no reaction to the incident could be found. At the time of this article's publication, the background that led to the verbal dispute between the waiter and those identifying themselves as servicemen is not known. The event also has not been commented on by the Kyiv police or the Ministry of Internal Affairs on their Facebook page.
It is worth mentioning that on January 10, footage of another incident involving military personnel was published online. The video shows a woman in the village of Dymers attempting to "defend" a man from military personnel from the TCC. Besides her, two other civilians — a husband and a son — were involved in the altercation. During the scuffle, one of the civilians threw stones at the workers. Meanwhile, the woman sustained injuries after gripping the door of a vehicle too tightly as it began to move.
We remind you that in December, there was a dispute between a TCC serviceman and a visitor at the recruitment center who disagreed with the absence of a deferment.
