Sweden does not rule out the possibility of sending its troops to Ukraine.

As stated by the head of the Swedish Foreign Ministry, once peace is established, Sweden "must ensure its support."
В Швеции не исключают возможность отправки своих войск в Украину.

The Swedish Foreign Minister, Maria Malmer Stenergard, stated that the country does not rule out sending troops to Ukraine as part of any post-war peacekeeping mission.

She made this remark in a comment to the public broadcaster Sveriges Radio, which is quoted by Reuters.

“Right now, we need to first agree on a fair and sustainable peace that respects international law, honors Ukraine, and primarily ensures that Russia cannot simply retreat, rebuild its forces, and attack Ukraine or another country in just a few years,” said the head of Sweden's Foreign Ministry.

According to her, once such a peace is established, Sweden “must ensure its support, and then our government does not rule anything out.”

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that he is “ready and willing” to send British troops to Ukraine to ensure the implementation of any peace agreement.
