"Discouraging trend": Russian forces are gradually taking control of Toretsk, according to DeepState (map).

The Russian occupying forces have seized all high-rise buildings in the central part of Toretsk in the Donetsk region and are gradually taking control of the city. This was reported by analysts from DeepState.

"Overall, the situation in the city is extremely grim; the enemy is slowly infiltrating and taking control. In particular, active fighting continues in the central area of the city, which is characterized by the presence of high-rise buildings, and unfortunately, almost all of them have fallen under enemy control," the report states.

The analysts noted that Russian infantry frequently appears between the spoil tips in the northern part of Toretsk and the western outskirts of the settlement.

"These two areas are built up with private housing, where the enemy's infantry constantly tries to hide, survive, and establish themselves for further advancement and occupation of the city," DeepState emphasized.

They also highlighted that it is likely that, in the near future, the northern part of the city will come under full enemy control, as it is difficult to locate Russian infantry among the buildings, and in most cases, the destruction of the enemy army occurs primarily through FPV drones and drops from Mavic.

Furthermore, analysts reported that fighting continues in the "Zabalky" microdistrict, which the Russians have "almost completely occupied."

"Attempts to storm in the direction of Shcherbinovka and Leonidovka are ongoing, but the units defending this area effectively nullify all enemy attempts. The efficient use of resources, personnel, and the tactical situation yields results and increases the number of dead Russians," DeepState noted.

Recall that on January 12, fighters from the 28th Separate Motorized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign reported that Russian soldiers in civilian clothes are infiltrating Toretsk and conducting sabotage operations.
