Under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: The 3rd Assault Brigade debunked the Russian Defense Ministry's false claim about seizing a village in Luhansk.

Russian propaganda has reported the capture of the settlement of Novoegorovka. However, the footage featuring the "liberators" was actually filmed in a nearby village that had been previously destroyed by the occupiers.
ВСУ опровергли фейк Минобороны России о захвате села в Луганской области, подтвердив контроль третьей штурмовой над данной территорией.

Just over a week ago, on January 20, Russians claimed that the "West" military group had taken control of the settlement of Novoegorovka in the Luhansk region. This was reminded by the Third Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As evidence, the occupiers released a video allegedly recorded in the area of responsibility of the 3rd Assault Brigade. During the investigation, it was found that the mentioned statement about the capture of the village is yet another fake from Russian propaganda to create an illusion of success for the Russian Armed Forces.

It turned out that in the occupiers' video, they had destroyed the neighboring settlement of Kovalevka themselves.

Currently, as noted by the Third Assault Brigade, the commander of the 20th Guards Army of the Russian Federation, Oleg Mityayev, who only captured Novoegorovka on paper, is actively "erasing" his units against the defense of the Third Assault Brigade.

Frontline Situation from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

According to information from the General Staff, on Wednesday, January 29, Russian units attacked Ukrainian positions in the areas of the settlements of Novoegorovka, Kopanky, Makeevka, Novolyubovka, Torske, Yampolivka, and Zelenaya Dolina. Since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian warriors have already repelled 19 attacks. In total, there have been 91 enemy attacks on the frontline.

We remind you that fighters from the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade successfully carried out an operation in the rear of Russian troops, capturing six occupiers. The commander of the 2nd company of the 2nd battalion, with the call sign Datsik, noted that the Russians mistook Ukrainian soldiers for their own.
