UPDATED: The General Staff has confirmed the nighttime strike on the "Atlas" oil depot in Russia's Rostov region.

Among the destroyed equipment was the radar system of the Buk-M3 air defense missile system.

In the Rostov region, near Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, the oil depot "Atlas" is on fire.

The regional authorities announced a massive attack by Ukrainian drones. 

According to the acting head of the region, Yuriy Slyusar, air defense forces repelled the attack in the northwest of the region, shooting down and suppressing 30 UAVs. Buildings in the Masalivka hamlet of the Kamensky district and the Dyachkino settlement in the Tarasivsky district were damaged.

Local public sources indicate that a fire broke out due to a drone strike on a fuel tank.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that overnight, air defense forces allegedly shot down 47 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions. According to the ministry, 29 drones were destroyed over the Rostov region, eight over the Krasnodar region, three over Belgorod, Bryansk, and Voronezh regions, and one over occupied Crimea.

It is worth noting that on the night of August 28, the Armed Forces of Ukraine already attacked the oil depot "Atlas" in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. Oil tanks caught fire, and firefighting trains were involved in extinguishing the blaze.

On the night of November 29, Ukrainian defense forces struck the "Atlas" oil depot located in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. As a result of the strike, a fire broke out on the premises, with at least two hotspots of ignition reported.

This was reported by the press service of the General Staff.

It is specified that "Atlas" had already been attacked in the summer of 2024. The oil depot is part of the Russian military-industrial complex that supplies fuel for Russian military operations.

"In addition, as part of the tasks to detect and eliminate enemy air defense systems, a radar station of the Russian occupiers' Buk-M3 missile system was destroyed. The target was located in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhia region," the statement said.
