"Wanted": The former deputy of the Bukovinian customs fled from military conscription after being "bused away."

Yuri Tereshchuk allegedly took advantage of the busy schedule of the military medical commission and climbed over the fence of the Territorial Recruitment Center.
"В розыске": экс-заместитель Буковинской таможни сбежал из ТЦК после "бусификации".

The former deputy head of the Bukovinian Customs of the State Customs Service, Yuri Tereshchuk, was detained by employees of the territorial center for recruitment and social support before entering a gym in Lutsk, and he escaped during his military medical commission. This information was shared with journalists by the Volyn TCK and SP.

"To establish military registration data, the conscript was taken to the TCK and SP. However, during the military medical commission, he took advantage of the doctors' and military personnel's busyness and fled the location of the VVK by climbing over the fence," the statement notes.

The TCK emphasized that this individual "is currently wanted" and is required to report to the territorial center for recruitment and social support to clarify registration data and undergo the VVK.

Who is Yuri Tereshchuk

The ex-deputy head of the Bukovinian Customs, Yuri Tereshchuk, was dismissed and reinstated twice amid scandals, all due to his involvement in smuggling. In 2021, a disciplinary case was initiated against Yuri Tereshchuk, leading to his suspension from work.

At that time, the head of the State Customs Service, Pavel Ryabikin, signed an order to initiate disciplinary proceedings against 100 employees of the service, including 17 customs and customs post leaders. In Volyn, in particular, 23 employees were suspended from their duties.

They were relieved of their official responsibilities following a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council and a letter from the Internal Security Department. The grounds for this action were their involvement and potential participation in large-scale smuggling schemes.

Additionally, Volyn media analyzed Tereshchuk's declarations and noted that all of his assets were registered in the name of his wife Galina and his father-in-law — former prosecutor of the Volyn region, Andrei Hilya.
