"Just a few kilometers to the outskirts": the situation near Pokrovsk is worsening daily, reports the GVA.

Residents of the city are left without electricity, gas, and heat. Communication in Pokrovsk is not available around the clock, and the critical infrastructure has been "wiped out completely."
"Ситуация под Покровском ухудшается с каждым днем: до окраин всего несколько километров, сообщает ГВА."

Russian occupiers are advancing towards the city of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. The head of the Pokrovsk City Military Administration, Sergey Dobryak, discussed the situation in a broadcast telethon on January 10.

"There are just over a couple of kilometers to the outskirts of the city, let's say, to the nearest point on the edge. In principle, our security situation is deteriorating every day, particularly in terms of shelling. The intensity and number are increasing daily," he reported.

The head of the military administration informed that the Russian Armed Forces are targeting Pokrovsk with everything they have. This includes FPV drones, artillery, mortars, and guided aerial bombs. Not only the city itself is under fire, but also its surroundings and nearby villages.

"As for critical infrastructure, almost all of it has been completely destroyed. In some places, we have water distribution points operating, and there are a few heating stations. However, there is no electricity, no gas supply, limited water supply, and of course, no heating," Dobryak explained.

Mobile communication is available in Pokrovsk, but not around the clock. Approximately 7,000 people remain in the city.

"Fortunately, there are no children. I thank all the families who evacuated them," the head of the administration emphasized.

He urged others to evacuate as well. The evacuation in Pokrovsk has slowed down: currently, 5-10 people are leaving the city each day. Most people are being taken to the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

As a reminder, analysts from DeepState reported on the advancement of the Russian Armed Forces in the Donetsk region and the occupation of six settlements.

ISW noted that high-ranking security officials and military leaders in Russia are concerned that the war in Ukraine is not coming to an end. It has been reported that there is disappointment in Moscow regarding the strategy chosen by Vladimir Putin.
