Zelensky proposed using frozen Russian assets to purchase weapons from the U.S.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky proposed utilizing frozen Russian assets to purchase weapons from the United States. He emphasized that this would be beneficial for the development of the American defense industry.

He made this statement in an interview with American podcaster Lex Fridman, published on the President's Office YouTube channel.

“Take 300 billion in frozen Russian assets. We will take them. We will use the money needed for our domestic production and buy all the weapons in the U.S. We don’t need gifts from the U.S. This will be beneficial for your industry, for the United States. We will invest that money. Russian money,” Zelensky stated.

Background. Recall that Zelensky referred to Vladimir Putin as a “mammoth” who is indifferent to any innovations, and unlike Elon Musk, the Russian dictator produces missiles solely to kill.
