Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump.

The Ukrainian president reported this on the evening of February 12.

“It was a lengthy discussion. We talked about the possibilities of achieving peace,” – noted Zelensky. They also discussed the readiness to collaborate at the team level and Ukraine's technological capabilities, including drones and other modern productions.

In addition, the presidents talked about Zelensky's conversation with the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury and the preparation of an agreement regarding security and economic and resource cooperation. The Ukrainian president mentioned that Trump shared details of his conversation with Putin.

“Ukraine desires peace more than anyone. We are defining our joint steps with America to halt Russian aggression and ensure a reliable, lasting peace. As President Trump said, let's get it done. We agreed on further contacts and meetings,” – added Zelensky.

Trump also wrote about his conversation with Zelensky. “The talk went very well. He, like President Putin, wants peace,” – stated the U.S. president. He noted that they discussed the war as well as a meeting scheduled for Friday in Munich, where the U.S. delegation will be led by Vice President Pence and Secretary of State Rubio.

He concluded his message with the words, “God bless the peoples of Russia and Ukraine!”
