Приглашение в НАТО стало бы шагом к реальным гарантиям для Украины, - Дуда.

Ukraine's invitation to NATO could represent the initial step towards real security guarantees. According to the Polish side, this is a realistic objective.

This statement was made by Polish President Andrzej Duda.

In his words, he has consistently advocated for NATO countries to agree on inviting Ukraine to join the Alliance from the very beginning.

“This would be the first step in providing Ukraine with genuine guarantees. We have discussed with President Volodymyr Zelensky all meetings within NATO, particularly those that will take place at the NATO summit in The Hague. This is a goal we should be aiming for. It is a realistic goal,” Duda stated.

He also added that there are heads of state from NATO member countries who lean towards the idea of inviting Ukraine.

Reminder: the NATO summit in The Hague, Netherlands, is scheduled for June 24–25, 2025.

Background. Previously, Mind reported that Ukraine considers joining NATO to be the only effective security guarantee for itself. This was stated by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha in an interview with “European Truth.”
