A number of projects in Mykolaiv have been put “on hold,” including the construction of a bypass road and the four-lane highway from Mykolaiv to Odesa. However, it will not be difficult to revive them and continue the work.

This was stated by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, Vitaliy Kym, during a conversation with journalists, discussing which projects are being implemented in the city and region and which are currently paused.

- The Varvarivsky bridge is being repaired lane by lane. The bypass road is not under construction right now as it is not relevant since the ports are currently not operational. However, it will be easy to resume the project. Moreover, the project for the construction of a wide four-lane road to Odesa has not been abandoned either — the issue is funding. The bridge (the so-called “Japanese” bridge on the bypass road — ed.) is on hold. The Ingulsky and Varvarivsky bridges are currently undergoing repairs, - Kym explained.
