Fighters from the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov" captured a soldier of the Russian Armed Forces, who turned out to be an Eskimo. This was reported by the press service of "Azov".
"During combat operations in the Toretsk direction, soldiers from the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov" "captured" a soldier of the Russian Armed Forces. He turned out to be a member of a national minority in Russia — the Eskimo people," the statement reads.
The captive himself stated that he was initially a BMP gunner, but on October 6, 2024, he was transferred to the infantry. While carrying out a combat mission in the Toretsk direction, he was taken prisoner as his comrades abandoned him.
"I have nothing against the Ukrainian people. I am here simply to liberate from fascism," emphasized the Eskimo.
He also spoke about the disdainful attitude of Russians towards indigenous peoples and how they consider Eskimos to be illiterate people.
"Russia continues to throw more and more people into endless 'meat' assaults, encouraging and motivating its population to kill Ukrainians," noted "Azov".
As a reminder, in January, fighters from the 12th Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard "Azov" captured 23 Russian occupiers at once.
On January 14, a North Korean captive admitted what he was ordered to do with the Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel.
