Finland's Foreign Minister states that Ukraine's accession to NATO poses no threat to other nations.

Ukraine's accession to NATO poses no threat to other nations. The alliance's expansion is driven by the aspirations of democratic countries and is not characterized by aggression.
Министр иностранных дел Финляндии заявил, что вступление Украины в НАТО не создаёт угрозы для других государств.

The entry of Ukraine into NATO does not pose a threat to other countries. The alliance's expansion is driven by the will of democratic nations and is not aggressive in nature.

This was stated by the Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, as reported by RBC-Ukraine referencing "We are Ukraine".

The Finnish Foreign Minister emphasized that NATO expands when free peoples decide to join the alliance.

"We have made it very clear in our communications, not only to the American audience and the future president (of the USA, Donald - ed.) Trump and his team, that there is no threat from NATO. This is very similar to the long-used narrative by Russia blaming NATO or the so-called 'NATO expansion' for its own aggression," Valtonen stated.

She also pointed out that NATO's expansion lacks an aggressive character. The Ukrainian people have the right to determine their own future, and should they wish to join NATO, it will not pose a threat to any country.

"And I hope that one day, in the near future, this will also happen with the Ukrainian people if they so decide. And this again is not a threat to anyone," she stressed.

Recall that yesterday, January 7, Trump stated during a press conference that he allegedly understands why Russia attacked Ukraine.

He noted that previously the USA did not support the idea of Ukraine joining NATO, but the administration of President Joe Biden has changed this position, which may have caused concern in Russia.

However, it is worth mentioning that pollsters have disproven Trump's thesis regarding the reasons for Putin's attack on Ukraine.

Notably, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has already responded to this statement. More details can be found in the RBC-Ukraine article.
