Russian forces in the Vremovka direction are preparing armored vehicles not only for transporting assault groups but also for providing fire support to infantry on the battlefield. This was reported by Vladislav Voloshin, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, referring to intelligence data in a comment to LIGA.net.
He specified that the active use of armored vehicles is planned in the areas of Priyutnoye and Levadne, located in the Zaporizhzhia region.
As Voloshin noted, Russian troops conducted exercises at one of the ranges in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region, where they practiced using armored vehicles to support ground forces. At the same time, the occupiers are increasingly utilizing drones and various countermeasures against thermal imaging.
"In modern warfare, technology is not a panacea. It is quite vulnerable in contemporary combat conditions, making it not always effective. Especially in the south, where the front line effectively runs through the steppe zone, equipment is easily visible and can be targeted by drones or artillery," he explained.
Additionally, Russian forces continue to employ buggies and motorcycles for rapid movement between positions and for transporting personnel and weapons.
Voloshin added that such means of transportation help avoid minefields, although Ukrainian drones effectively detect and neutralize them.
According to data from the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff, there were 145 combat engagements at the front in the past day. In the Vremovka direction, Russian occupiers launched eight assaults on the positions of the Defense Forces in the areas of Bohoyavlenka, Maksymivka, Trudove, and Novoukrainka. The enemy actively used assault and bomber aviation for strikes in the direction.
Recall that on October 27, Southern Defense Forces representative Vladislav Voloshin stated that the Russian Armed Forces achieved success near the village of Levadne in the Zaporizhzhia region. According to him, the Russian command is deploying more forces for assaults, which may indicate a new offensive by the enemy.
On October 30, Voloshin stated that the Russian army has amassed a group of 200 thousand soldiers in southern Ukraine. He noted that Russians are increasingly attacking towards the Zaporizhzhia region after capturing Vuhledar.
