The director of the Kryvyi Rih Mining and Electromechanical College, Yulia Aleynik, plans to incorporate virtual reality technologies into the educational process to make the acquisition of new skills more engaging and visual. The educator shared her ideas with "Suspilne".
Yulia Aliyeva interned for two weeks at financial and innovative companies in Kyiv. During lectures and practical sessions, the directors were taught how to use interactive applications and integrate financial literacy into vocational education. Throughout the training, participants were able to immerse themselves in a virtual environment using VR glasses.
"We were given the opportunity to experience that virtual reality. You dive into a workshop, there are electrical installations, and you follow a sequence of actions step by step (there are prompts, but you can also do it without them)," the director told journalists.
This experience inspired Yulia Aliyeva to implement changes in the teaching approaches at her college. According to her, she plans to enhance the qualifications of specialized teachers and update the educational program to integrate VR technologies.
"If children could learn the same safety techniques related to their specialties and acquire basic skills through virtual reality, it would motivate them to learn," the director stated.
