It is noteworthy that this disaster occurred just a few days after a tragic plane crash in Washington, when on January 29, a passenger plane Bombardier CRJ700 collided with a military helicopter UH-60 Black Hawk. After this incident, debris from both aircraft fell into the river. As a result of that disaster, 67 people lost their lives - 60 passengers and 4 crew members of the civilian aircraft, as well as three military personnel on board the helicopter.
Today it became known that investigators retrieved the "black boxes" from both aircraft after the collision in Washington.
