Ukraine will receive 4,500 drones from Lithuania this week, with a total value of 5 million euros.

Lithuania's Minister of Defense, Arvydas Anušauskas, announced this on social media platform X.

“I am pleased to announce that this week Lithuania is sending 4,500 drones to Ukraine worth 5 million euros,” the minister wrote.

She added that the government also approved an expedited procedure for transferring state assets at the last cabinet meeting, which will reduce the time spent on bureaucratic processes during the aid transfer to Ukraine.

Recall that in November 2024, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense reported on the latest delivered aid to Ukraine, which included generators, spare parts for M113 armored personnel carriers, weapons, and ammunition. According to the ministry, Lithuania's support for Ukraine in 2025 will include lethal and non-lethal aid, contributions to funds, training and rehabilitation for soldiers, and expert consultations.

Lithuania will also finance a demining coalition and join the Czech initiative for munitions. Additionally, Lithuania will procure drones and counter-drone systems from manufacturers.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the Lithuanian-produced drones, which were supposed to be delivered to Ukraine by the end of 2024, are still stored in Lithuanian military warehouses.
