The South Korean tech giant Kakao Corp. announced on Tuesday a collaboration with OpenAI to incorporate the popular chatbot ChatGPT into its artificial intelligence-based services.

“I am pleased to share news of our partnership with OpenAI as part of our ambitions for new innovations and a leap forward with artificial intelligence in 2025,” stated Kakao CEO Chun Shin-a during a press conference in Seoul.
According to her, the two companies will work together to implement OpenAI technologies into Kakao services and develop joint products based on artificial intelligence.
It is noted that Kakao plans to launch its new integrated AI brand called Kanana later this year.
“The ChatGPT technologies will be embedded in our services, including Kanana. The partnership involves technology sharing and collaborative development of AI products for Kakao's 50 million users,” Chang mentioned.
