A powerful snowstorm is heading to Ukraine
Weather forecasters have warned Ukrainians about snowfall and freezing temperatures in several regions.
Forecaster Natalia Didenko has released the weather forecast for the upcoming days. According to her, on Saturday, February 15, heavy precipitation is expected in the east, south, and central parts of Ukraine – snow, wet snow, and rain in the south. Cold frosty weather will return. A potential easing of the cold, subject to confirmation, may occur after February 25.
Weather predictions for the weekend were also made by meteorologist Igor Kibalchich. His data indicates that on Saturday, February 15, light precipitation in the form of snow and wet snow is expected in parts of the northern and western regions, as well as in the southern half, with rain in the Odessa region and Crimea. The rest of the areas will be mostly dry. The wind will be from the northeast at 3-8 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will range from -2 to -7°C, while daytime temperatures will be between -3 and +2°C.
In the southern regions and Crimea, nighttime temperatures will be from -2 to +3°C, and daytime temperatures will range from +2 to +7°C.
On Sunday, February 16, moderate to significant precipitation in the form of snow, wet snow, and rain is expected in the southern and western regions, with some central areas experiencing similar conditions during the day. There may be wet snow accumulation and icy conditions in some places. The wind will predominantly come from the eastern quadrant at 5-10 m/s, with gusts in the southern part of the country. Nighttime temperatures will range from -2 to -7°C, while daytime temperatures will be from -3 to +2°C. In the southern regions and Transcarpathia, nighttime temperatures will range from -2 to +3°C, and daytime temperatures will be from 0 to +5°C.
