In Ukraine, authorities are searching for 500,000 men liable for military service, according to details shared by the Armed Forces.

The TCC does not have the authority to independently seek out draft evaders. Meanwhile, as noted by Natalia Kindraty, a representative of the Ground Forces Command, the police lack the resources and manpower to carry out these responsibilities.

Since 2022, half a million military-eligible men have been listed as wanted in Ukraine. This was reported by KyivFM, citing officer Natalia Kindrativ from the Communications Department of the Ground Forces Command.

During the full-scale invasion, which began in February 2022, over 500,000 individuals have been reported missing to the National Police, as territorial centers for staffing and social support (TCC SP) do not possess such authority.

According to the officer, this task is not the sole responsibility of the National Police, and locating such a large number of individuals with the limited resources available to law enforcement is quite challenging. Hence, they involve investigators and operational groups in this process.

Moreover, as Natalia Kindrativ explained, law enforcement does not search for evaders at their homes but instead checks the documents of males aged 18 to 60 in public places or on the streets.

It is important to note that under martial law and general mobilization, district territorial centers for staffing and social support are searching for military-eligible citizens aged 25 to 60 who have violated military registration rules. The legal basis for contacting the police to locate an individual is the commission of an offense by the military-eligible person as stipulated in articles 210 or 210-1 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.

If an individual is declared wanted, they can resolve the issue independently by voluntarily appearing at the TCC with the necessary documents.
