A new Army Aviation Day will be established in Ukraine. Here’s what we know about this upcoming celebration and its details.

In Ukraine, the Day of Army Aviation of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be celebrated annually on July 3. The corresponding decree No. 17/2025 "On the Day of Army Aviation of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" was signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky and published by the Office of the President.

"To establish in Ukraine the Day of Army Aviation of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which will be celebrated annually on July 3," the document states.

It is noted that the holiday has been established to honor the courage and heroism of the soldiers of the Army Aviation of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, demonstrated in the struggle for freedom, independence, and territorial integrity of Ukraine. It also aims to initiate new modern military traditions.

Let us remind you that on December 5, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree implementing the decision of the National Security and Defense Council regarding the prohibition of transferring medical personnel to military positions unrelated to medical service. This followed a statement by MP Maryana Bezuhla regarding the General Staff of the Armed Forces' decision to transfer 20% of medical personnel from military hospitals to infantry units.

Additionally, at the beginning of January, Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law allowing non-native relatives of fallen Ukrainian soldiers to resign from the army. However, they cannot resign immediately, as this requires corresponding work by the Cabinet of Ministers to adopt additional regulations.
