In one of the capital's entertainment clubs, a group of individuals was involved in human trafficking. More than 30 women were held there and forced to provide sexual services. This was reported by the Main Department of the National Police in the Kyiv region.
Under the pretense of offering jobs as dancers at the club, women were lured in and coerced into providing sexual services through threats. Law enforcement identified the organizers and participants of the group — two of whom are foreigners with prior convictions for similar crimes.
A number of searches have already been conducted in the club premises, the suspects' apartments, and their vehicles. As a result, money, computer equipment, mobile phones, notes, and other physical evidence were seized from the individuals.
"The actions of the suspects are classified under Part 2 of Article 149 (human trafficking) and Part 2 of Article 303 (pimping or involvement of a person in prostitution) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of choosing a preventive measure is being resolved, as well as regarding the notification of suspicion to other participants, based on their roles in the illegal activities," the police noted.
The police did not mention anything about the location of the entertainment establishment. However, public sources citing their own contacts in the Security Service of Ukraine report that the nightclub named "Tutsi" is located in the building where Kyiv's mayor Vitali Klitschko resides.
Club staff filmed clients for further blackmail. The establishment was guarded by a municipal organization of the executive body of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration) called "Municipal Security." They were involved by the first deputy chairman of the UDAR party, Arthur Palatny. They accompanied the women and maintained order.
At the time of publication, neither Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko nor the nightclub administration had commented on the reports.
Additionally, this is not the first incident involving this establishment. Previously, journalists discovered that Vitali Klitschko indeed lives in this building. The media also reported that a bomb shelter for residents was supposed to be located where the nightclub "Tutsi" is situated. It was noted that citizens could use the establishment as a shelter, but the basement could only be accessed during the club's operating hours. It was not even marked on maps as a civil defense shelter.
Recall that in the Kyiv region, several minors beat a girl. One of them tortured her and demanded money. Currently, law enforcement has opened a criminal case.
Furthermore, on January 21, the Security Service of Ukraine detained the chief psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the war, he enriched himself by over $1 million but did not declare his assets.
