A woman who organized a drug trafficking business in the city of Voznesensk, located in the Mykolaiv region, along with her accomplices, has been apprehended.
This information was reported by the police of the Mykolaiv region.
The law enforcement authorities established that the perpetrator, in collaboration with her brother and another acquaintance, arranged the illegal distribution of psychotropic substances in the Voznesensk area.
According to the case materials, she sourced and purchased the drugs, and coordinated their delivery to her residence. The "business operators" sold the highly dangerous psychotropic substance PVP. With the help of her accomplices, the woman distributed the drugs among her acquaintances.
The police detained the main suspect and her associate in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine during another drug sale.
During a sanctioned search, law enforcement officers seized packaged narcotic substance Alpha-PVP, cannabis, a 2 ml syringe containing a brown liquid, handwritten notes, mobile phones, a bank card, and electronic scales from the woman. At the residence of another suspect, a tablet and a mobile phone were found.
All seized items were sent by the police for examination.
Police investigators, under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office, informed the three suspects of charges under part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for the illegal acquisition and storage of psychotropic substances for the purpose of distribution. The penalty for this article includes up to ten years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The court has placed two suspects in custody with the right to post bail, while another has been placed under house arrest.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
