On Tuesday, February 25, on Yevgeny Loginov Street (Krylov), number 15, in Mykolaiv, unidentified individuals vandalized a memorial plaque dedicated to a fallen serviceman of the National Guard of Ukraine.
This was reported by the regional police.
The Mykolaiv district police department received a report from a resident of the regional center stating that in the Liski microdistrict on Yevgeny Loginov Street, unknown persons had damaged the memorial plaque commemorating the deceased serviceman of the National Guard of Ukraine, Yevgeny Loginov.
The investigative-operational group of the district police department documented the unlawful actions at the scene.
Currently, law enforcement officials are establishing all the circumstances of the incident and identifying individuals involved in the commission of the specified offense. Surveillance camera footage is being reviewed, and a range of investigative measures is being conducted.
Based on this incident, investigators from the Mykolaiv district department have initiated a pre-trial investigation under Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for "Hooliganism."
“We urge anyone who witnessed this crime or has information useful to the investigation to contact the Mykolaiv district police at the address: 44 Belya Street, or call (0512) 53-13-31, 40-94-89, or 102,” the statement said.
