In the morning of February 20, an accident took place at the Nikolaev TPP, leaving over 40 homes without heating.

According to Vitaly Kim, the head of the Nikolaev OVA, this is related to the ongoing consequences of enemy strikes.

“The aftermath of enemy shelling on the TPP continues. An accident occurred in the system this morning. 44 residential buildings have been disconnected.

Restoration work is already underway. I will keep you informed. We’re holding on,” Kim wrote on social media.

The temporary heating shutdown affects the following addresses:

As a result of the attack, there are damages to critical infrastructure, and a fire broke out, which was promptly extinguished by firefighters. Additionally, five apartment buildings were damaged due to falling debris and the shock wave. Furthermore, at least four shops, a food establishment, and office spaces were also affected.

The mayor of Nikolaev, Alexander Senkevich, stated that the electricity generation of the Nikolaev TPP, which was destroyed as a result of the enemy "Shahed" attack on the night of Sunday, February 16, will not be restored during this heating season.
