A man in Mykolaiv threw a dead dog out of a window – a criminal investigation has been launched
On the evening of Friday, October 25, the police department No. 1 of the Mykolaiv district received a report from a local volunteer stating that a 37-year-old man had thrown a dead dog out of a ninth-floor window of an apartment building.
This information was reported by the police of the Mykolaiv region.
According to the applicant, she had rescued the deceased dog during a flood in a neighboring region. She then handed the animal over to the partner of the perpetrator.
Based on this incident, investigators initiated a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 299 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, "Cruelty to Animals." The penalty for this article provides for a punishment of up to three years in prison.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing, and all circumstances of the incident are being established.
