In Mykolaiv, a conflict with restaurant staff in the city center ended with the throwing of an airsoft grenade into the establishment.
The incident occurred on January 5, as reported by the communication department of the Mykolaiv region police.
After throwing the grenade, the perpetrator fled the scene and even attempted to disguise themselves.
As a result of the explosion, no visitors or employees of the café were injured. Currently, the police have identified the perpetrator, who faces up to five years of restriction of freedom for committing hooligan actions.
Plastic debris from the airsoft grenade was seized by forensic investigators as material evidence.
Through a series of investigative measures and footage from surveillance cameras connected to the "Safe City" system, the police identified the suspect. He turned out to be a 34-year-old resident of the Odesa region. To avoid detection, the perpetrator changed his hairstyle and shaved his beard after committing the offense.
The actions of the suspect have been classified under part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, "Hooliganism."
