In the Kyiv region, teenagers assaulted a 12-year-old girl. Here's how the police responded to the incident.

Assault on a Minor: Police Response

Law enforcement reported that the conflict among minors occurred in the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region. The report of the assault on a 12-year-old girl came from her mother.

The police stated that the injuries to the young girl were inflicted by three minors—a peer of the victim and two boys aged 15 and 16. They also discovered relevant video footage of the assault involving these children.

An investigation has now been initiated regarding the assault on a minor child(ch. 1 art. 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The penalty for this article includes a fine of up to 50 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens or community service for up to 200 hours, or corrective labor for up to 1 year.

Police noted that the reasons for the conflict are still unknown—investigators are working to uncover this information, and the pre-trial investigation is ongoing. It is possible that if additional circumstances are revealed, the legal qualification may be changed.

Recall that on the night of January 12 to 13, the singer Wellboy was attacked, resulting in him sustaining minor injuries. Law enforcement has already initiated criminal proceedings and is investigating all circumstances of the case.

Additionally, force was used against lawyer Maria Naselenko in the premises of the Bucha Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support. Following the incident, the woman was hospitalized, and her condition deteriorated.
