A woman in Kyiv called for an ambulance. Upon the arrival of the medical team, it turned out that she did not need medical assistance. Now, the citizen must pay a fine of 3,400 hryvnias, reported the patrol police of Kyiv.
They stated that a citizen called the emergency line 112 and reported feeling unwell in one of the shopping centers in the Solomyanskyi district. Medical personnel arrived promptly at the scene.
After their arrival, the woman explained that she did not need help. She noted that she wanted to test the response time of the ambulance by pretending to need assistance. The medics called the patrol officers to the scene.
The woman was informed that she had committed an offense. A ruling was issued against her under Article 183 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses for making a knowingly false call to emergency services. The citizen is required to pay a fine of 3,400 hryvnias.
The patrol police added that law enforcement officers, rescuers, and ambulance medics respond to every report as if it were a real situation and threat.
"And while they are determining that the information is false, at the same time, someone truly needs their assistance," the agency added.
As a reminder, earlier in Lviv, a driver was stopped for violating traffic rules. It turned out that he was wanted for violating legislation on military duty and service.
Additionally, in Kyiv, a man and a woman were apprehended while preparing an assassination attempt on the first deputy head of the Ministry of Health. They had developed a detailed plan but were detained by law enforcement while trying to purchase a firearm.
