In Mykolaiv, the heating season is planned to start in early November, while it has already commenced in the northern areas of the region.

This was stated by the head of the Housing and Communal Services Department of Mykolaiv OVA, Yevhen Hladkov, during a briefing held on Tuesday, October 22.

According to him, the weather is currently unpredictable and temperatures are fluctuating, but the standard temperature threshold of below 8 °C for three consecutive days has not been recorded in Mykolaiv, so it is too early to discuss the commencement of the heating season.

- We anticipate that the heating season, particularly in the regional center, will begin in the first decade of November. Likely around the 5th, but we will monitor the outside temperature, - said the head of the Housing and Communal Services Department of Mykolaiv OVA.

At the same time, Yevhen Hladkov noted that the heating season has already started in the northern regions of the area.

- Meanwhile, in the Pervomaisk and Voznesensk districts, the heating season is already commencing for social institutions. We have over 18% of local thermal boiler houses for the budget sector already operational. All facilities, both residential and social, have started the heating season in Yuzhnoukrainsk, but the situation there is slightly different due to purchased heat, - the official explained.
