Mobilization Strengthening: The Mykolaiv TCC has reported who may receive a deferral

The Mykolaiv Regional TCC and SSP explained who is eligible for a deferral from conscription during mobilization.

This information became known from their publication on Facebook.

According to Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine "On Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization," the following individuals are not subject to military service:

• Employees who are reserved for the period of mobilization and wartime;
• Women and men with three or more children under 18 years old and without any alimony debts;
• Parents of a child under 18 years old if the other parent is deceased, deprived of parental rights, or absent;
• Guardians and foster parents raising a child with a disability under 18 years old;
• Citizens whose spouse has a disability of the first or second group;
• Students in full-time or dual education programs pursuing higher education;
• Scientific and pedagogical workers with a degree and teachers working at 0.75 rate or higher;
• Close relatives of deceased or missing military personnel;
• Individuals released from reserve after being held captive.

“The law is continuously being improved. Recent amendments may be of particular interest to you. For example, on August 21, 2024, changes were made that granted half-siblings of deceased soldiers the right to deferment from military service,” they added.
