The government has extended the deadline for updating the critical status of enterprises by one more month.

Until March 31, reservations for employees of such enterprises will remain valid.
Правительство продлило срок обновления статуса критичности предприятий еще на месяц.

The Cabinet of Ministers has permitted enterprises that have not yet confirmed their critical status and rebooked employees to do so by March 31. Until this date, the booking of employees from such enterprises will remain valid.

The relevant decision was made during a government meeting, reports the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

“Due to the challenges caused by Russian cyberattacks at the beginning of the year, we have extended the opportunity to submit documents for critical status renewal and to rebook employees... Booking is a crucial component of the effective functioning of the economy, as analytics show that 12% of enterprises hold critical status, yet they contributed 67% of the total income of all enterprises in the country during 2022-2023,” said the Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko.

Enterprises that have updated their critical status can book employees until April 1 without the 72-hour data processing requirement, significantly speeding up the process. The corresponding application can only be submitted through Diya.

If an employee has already been booked, the previous booking must be canceled before submitting a new application. The confirmed booking will be displayed in the Reserve+ application. If the booking is provided after the critical enterprise status has been updated, it will be valid for the duration of the critical status – up to 1 year.

Companies can obtain the status of a critical enterprise if they meet three criteria set by the government. Two of these are mandatory, namely:

  • the average salary of employees is at least 20,000 UAH;
  • no tax and social insurance debt.

The third criterion allows the enterprise to choose one of the following:

  • payment of taxes and fees exceeding 1.5 million euros per year (equivalent in UAH);
  • foreign currency revenues exceeding 32 million euros per year (excluding loans and credits);
  • strategic importance for the economy and national security (as defined by the government list, CMU No. 83 dated 04.03.2015);
  • significant importance for a specific sector of the economy or territorial community (criteria determined by relevant state authorities, OVA);
  • resident status of Diya.City;
  • provision of electronic communication services with a certain level of income.

At the end of January, businesses approached the government with a request to extend existing bookings and move the deadline for critical status renewal to April 30.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the government allowed heating companies, water utilities, and firms managing household waste to book up to 75% of military conscripted employees.
